NaNoWriMo Flash Fiction Contest
NaNoWriMo has created a new contest opportunity for the month of May called the Young Writer's Flash Fiction Contest. If you're interested, you can write your own flash fiction story (up to 300 words) that must include these three words somewhere in the text: rainbow, spider, cake. Those words could be spread out in your story or all in one sentence- the creativity is yours! If you would like to participate, you can find all the rules- and read them carefully- at the link provided. Stories can be independently submitted right to the link provided as well. All stories must be submitted online between May 16th- May 31st.

WordMasters Challenge Test #3
As you know, all Literacy students have had the opportunity to try the WordMasters Challenge this year as a Literacy extension. Because we aren't in school for our final test of the year, WordMasters has re-designed the test as a Google Form that you can take right at home! If you're looking for practice material, check out the WordMasters Practice before you take the test. If you've never tried WordMasters before now, you're welcome to jump in for the final test of the year!
